MBS Dallas Lands New Parkland Hospital

Parkland Hospital is building a new two-million square foot facility to replace its existing 55-year old structure. The new hospital is being built across the street from the present facility and broke ground last November. It is scheduled to be completed by April 2014, and will then be the largest public hospital inthe country ever built in one phase. It includes 862 beds, a separate clinic building, a bed tower, a surgery tower, and parking/support structures.  MBS Dallas portion of the project includes the 1,000,000sf D & T block, a four floor structure containing office area, exam areas, CT scan and X-ray, labs, operating rooms, kitchen, dining and mechanical areas. MBS Dallas was also awarded the four story Wish Clinic, a building which will be finished out at a later date. MBS Dallas portion of the project will start in 2012 and run through 2013, Supervisor Ed Kuta and Safety Supervisor Dave Hernandez will be leading our crews.
