Marek was honored to be selected for this project. One of the master plans for Texas A&M San Antonio’s Patriots' Casa was to be able to show support for the military and recognize San Antonio’s Military City, USA reputation. The facade of this building was inspired by elements of the Missions San Juan and Espada. The purpose of Patriots' Casa was to not only offer academic support, but to offer emotional and psychological support for the veterans who are attending classes.
