MAREK’s work on the Ismaili Center Houston has earned an Excellence in Construction Award from ABC Greater Houston and APEX Gold recognition. These awards recognize the craftsmanship, teamwork, and dedication our people brought to the project every day.
Everyone who works in construction knows how much happens between the first set of drawings and the finished building. It takes careful planning, clear communication, and people who care about getting the work right. These honors are a proud moment for MAREK and an opportunity to recognize the team behind the build.
Bringing the Details to Life
Working with general contractor McCarthy Building Companies, our team delivered prefabrication, exterior cold-formed metal framing, interior drywall partitions, ceilings and soffits, fireproofing, and insulation.
One particularly challenging feature was a custom Vogl ceiling system with a triangular perforation pattern. Getting those details right required careful planning and precise installation. The team used virtual design and construction to check layouts, prefabrication to help keep work consistent, and close coordination in the field to adjust the order of work when schedules changed.
Our employees know what that takes. When deliveries shift or a detail needs another look, teams have to communicate, work through the issue, and keep the project moving. The Ismaili Center brought those everyday skills together on a complex project where attention to detail mattered at every step.
