There’s something about a new space that resets the energy. For MBC Austin, this move reflects years of steady growth and a continued commitment to their customers.
Just three and a half years ago, the Austin team was not yet serving the multifamily market. MBC recognized an opportunity to better support customers locally, and the team stepped in to fill that need. Since then, they have completed around 30 multifamily projects, helping bring greater balance to the natural ups and downs of the Austin residential market.
At the same time, the team continued to build momentum in single-family construction. Over the past three years, they have completed more than 3,000 projects, strengthening relationships and expanding their presence across the Austin market.
Much of that growth came from doing more for the customers they already serve, in addition to attracting a few new clients. The team expanded their scope to include services that simplify coordination and improve efficiency for customers.
The recent move into insulation is another example of how MBC has responded to client needs. By broadening their capabilities, they have been able to ease pain points, strengthen relationships, and deliver a more seamless experience. Over the past 6 to 9 months, they completed about 20 projects that included insulation, and customers are continuing to request this additional scope.
As their service offerings expanded, so did the demands on the team. Increased activity across multifamily, new neighborhoods, and custom homes made it clear the existing office and warehouse shared with MBS Austin could no longer support where they were headed.
When the right building became available nearby, it created an opportunity to stay aligned with their customers and continue delivering the level of service and performance clients expect from MAREK.
The new facility positions the MBC team to better serve the Austin market, with space that allows for stronger coordination, improved efficiency, and the ability to take on additional work.
The impact of the move extends beyond MBC. MBS Austin is planning fit-for-purpose renovations to improve functionality in the original building and preparing its warehouse to take on more prefabrication work. As both teams settle in, they continue their longstanding commitment to people, performance, and doing the right thing for the MAREK team, our customers, and the community.
Inside the building, the response has been just as meaningful. There is a sense of pride in the space and in what it represents. The MBC team has embraced the transition while still valuing the relationships and history tied to their previous location.
What this move represents is clear. It shows trust in the team, confidence in their trajectory, and a commitment to meeting or exceeding customer needs.
This is not a finish line. It is the next step in preparing MBC Austin for what is ahead.
