Cornerstone Church

Challenge

Cornerstone Church in San Antonio set out to create a worship environment that could support large congregations while maintaining clarity, warmth, and a sense of connection within the space. The design required careful coordination of architectural finishes, acoustics, and integrated systems to ensure speech intelligibility, visual consistency, and durability across high-use areas. Achieving this balance within an active construction schedule required precise execution and close collaboration among all project partners.

Solution

MAREK partnered with Stoddard Enterprise, LLC. and FGM Architects to deliver a comprehensive interior scope that supported both the functional and experiential goals of the worship space. Our team installed drywall assemblies and plaster panels to create smooth, refined surfaces throughout the facility. Acoustical ceilings, fabric panels, and wood panels were strategically incorporated to manage sound quality and enhance the overall worship experience. Wood ceilings added warmth and architectural character, while intelligent automated shades were integrated to provide lighting control and occupant comfort. 

Through detailed coordination, careful installation, and attention to finish quality, MAREK ensured each system aligned with the design intent and acoustic requirements. The result is a thoughtfully constructed worship environment that supports meaningful gatherings, clear communication, and long-term performance. MAREK’s role helped bring Cornerstone Church’s vision to life as a space designed to serve its community for years to come.
