Nurix needed a medical facility in Houston that could support advanced scientific research while meeting strict performance, acoustic, and aesthetic standards. The project required interiors that combined durability, functionality, and flexibility, accommodating both labs and office spaces in a highly technical environment.

MAREK was brought on to provide drywall assemblies, ceilings and acoustical solutions, demountable glass partitions, paint, fabric wall panels, and fireproofing. Our team installed non-structural wall assemblies to create clean, durable partitions with consistent alignment throughout the facility. DEKO demountable glass partitions offered visual openness and flexibility for evolving operational needs. Acoustical and specialty ceilings enhanced sound performance while adding to the visual appeal of labs, offices, and common areas. Fabric wall panels were placed strategically to improve acoustics and introduce warmth, and paint was applied with precision across all spaces. Fireproofing was completed to code, supporting safety and long-term durability.

The result was a fully realized medical facility that balances performance, design, and flexibility. The completed space supports Nurix’s scientific mission while accommodating the unique demands of a high-performance medical setting.
