Energy Square

Energy Square, a five-building office complex in Dallas, underwent a $50 million renovation to transform its ground-level and plaza-level spaces into modern, collaborative environments. The project included upgrades to public areas across three office towers, adding a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, conference rooms, lounge areas, and delis, along with new lobbies and corridors. The design by Gensler emphasized clean lines, high-end finishes, and premium acoustic performance.
 
MAREK was selected to complete all interior framing, drywall assemblies, and ceiling systems throughout the common areas. The project presented significant challenges due to its occupied setting, requiring careful sequencing to minimize disruption for tenants. The design also incorporated complex ceiling transitions, specialty fabric panels, and multiple finish types that demanded exceptional precision and attention to detail.

MAREK collaborated with Whiting-Turner and Gensler to deliver a seamless renovation that reflected the project’s high-end vision. The team installed drywall and ceiling systems that balanced form and function, integrating acoustical solutions to support a comfortable, professional atmosphere. Specialty ceilings and fabric panels were carefully coordinated to align with architectural intent, maintaining consistency across multiple buildings and finish conditions. Through close communication with the general contractor and building management, MAREK planned work around tenant activity to ensure safety, cleanliness, and schedule efficiency. The completed project redefined Energy Square as a contemporary workplace destination with vibrant shared spaces, refined finishes, and improved comfort for tenants and visitors alike.
