Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn

Located in the heart of downtown Austin, the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn was developed to meet the growing demand for accommodations near the Austin Convention Center. The 11-story, 270-room hotel required a balance of functionality and elegance, including high-end finishes in the lobby, ballroom, and restaurant spaces.
 
With multiple hospitality brands within one structure, each area needed a unique design approach supported by consistent quality and attention to detail. The project’s downtown setting also brought logistical challenges, including limited space for deliveries and the need for close coordination among trades working in a constrained environment.

MAREK partnered with Harvey-Cleary to complete the drywall assemblies, ceilings, and acoustical systems that shaped the hotel’s interior.
 
Our team installed a range of ceiling systems and decorative drywall elements that aligned with the architect’s modern design intent. The lobby, ballroom, and restaurant required special focus to ensure precise finishes, smooth transitions, and seamless integration of lighting and mechanical systems.
 
By maintaining strong communication with the general contractor and other trades, MAREK delivered high-quality results on schedule. The completed hotel provides a welcoming and polished space for guests, meeting planners, and travelers visiting the Austin Convention Center.
