On February 6, 2014, Marek hosted the 2014 strategic planning session for the Construction Career Collaborative. Marek has supported the organization from its inception. Mike Holland, President of Houston Division, is currently serving on the board of directors. As the former Acting Executive Director, I participated along with the board, committee chairs, and industry partners. The group was successful in mapping out SMART goals for the next twelve months. With the release of the Employer Accreditation, contractors who follow the law and invest in their workforce will be able to distinguish themselves from those who do not.

It was an exciting session, and as an industry leader, Marek will play a key role in advancing craft training standards. Marek has been an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor and an Accredited Assessment Site since 2008 and believes in providing our craft professionals with quality training opportunities and industry standard credentials. The ultimate goal of C3 is to provide good jobs and more. Setting standards that require employers to train their employees and provide career advancement opportunities will be a critical part of C3's mission.
